Within the Business Ombudsman Initiative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, an analysis of existing models of business ombudsman institutions worldwide and possible ways of establishment in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been developed.
The document provides an insight into different ways of establishing institutions for the protection of businessmen and entrepreneurs/craftsmen in the world and their operation, and an analysis of the possible models of the establishment of similar institutions in BiH. The purpose of the document is also to be a starting point for all interested parties from the business community, the government sector and the international community in discussions about potential arrangements and basic principles for the establishment of the Business Ombudsman Institution in BiH, an independent body that would serve as a protector of the legitimate interests of the business community in their doing business with the public sector.
